Here recently, I asked a question in some of the Facebook groups that I am a part of. The more answers I got, the more questions I got. I figured since I am taking a journey down the rabbit hole the same way that Alice did to Wonderland, I’d offer to everyone to come with me. The question? What are all the types of storytelling?

I’m beginning to mentor and teach storytelling in many facets of my life. I want to tell people new to storytelling is what it’s all about. All the possible types. People tell stories for different reasons. I want people new to storytelling to be able to find the type that best serves them and the audience they want to reach. So in order to best do that, I decided to go looking for answers to share. That was 2 weeks ago. I’m still compiling. I’m compiling comments. I’m compiling books. I’m compiling research. I’m bursting at the seams with information. And I love it!

So the next Blog post series will be dedicated to the answers I find. It will probably be a long series. There will most likely be some areas hard to get concrete answers. But I like to idea of showing the world more of what storytelling can be.

And since I obviously don’t know it all, that’s were all of you come in! send me your thoughts. Be a part of the discussion of what types of storytelling exist. What makes them different than other types? How are they similar? Post them in the chat in the social media groups. Post the comments on the blog. Add the hash tag #typesofstories. Looking forward to sharing all the info we find on our way to Wonderland.
