In 2019, I did a series of blog posts highlighting storytelling workshops in the DC, MD, and VA area. If you are a beginner to a storytelling vet, taking a class or workshop is a great way to get feedback or work through tough spots in stories. I’ve been telling stories since 2014. Since then, I have taken workshops with Better Said Than Done, the Armed Services Armed Partnership (ASAP), and The Stoop Storytelling series. In 2020 I got some one-on-one coaching with Jeff Simmermon. Each time I’ve come away with great stories to use later.
Since the Pandemic, a number of storytellers and story organizations have classes and workshops online. Below are just some of the individuals posting in the storytelling groups, so be sure to check them out, take a class, and work on your stories! If you hurry, you may get into some classes sooner than later!
