In 2019, I did a series of blog posts highlighting storytelling workshops in the DC, MD, VA area. If you are a person from beginner to a storytelling vet, taking a class or workshop is a great way to get feedback or work through tough spots in stories. I’ve been telling stories since 2014. Since that time, I have taken workshops with Better Said Than Done, the Armed Services Armed Partnership (ASAP), and The Stoop Storytelling series. In 2020 I got some one-on-one coaching with Jeff Simmermon (who has just a few spots available in classes that start this week, see HERE for more info.) Each time I’ve come away with great stories to use later.
With the Pandemic still here, a number of storytellers and story organizations have classes and workshops online. Below, are just some of the individuals posting in the storytelling groups, so be sure to check them out take a class, and work on your stories! If you hurry, you may get into some classes that are starting soon. Better Said Than Done and Jeff Simmermon have classes starting this week and next. Others may have offerings starting soon as well.
